What is raw device mapping (RDM) in VMware vSphere

In this article i need to show you how to configuring RAW Disk Mapping on your VM in your VMware Infrastructure.
There is much of this article on Google, Yahoo or Bing so i think this article not new, but i will show you as simple as i can. And these for step :
- I assume that you had created one datastore/lun (please be inform that when you wanna assign lun for RDM purpose, you need to determined that the lun will used by your guest os like microsoft windows, linux ubuntu, linux red hat or any other) where will adding to your VM, so lets edit it and add hard disk on it
- You will get a new console like below picture, make sure you choose "raw device mapping"
- Then you will see lun where you created before for rdm purpose, please see picture below
- Just configure like this, in another time i will show you the different of compability (physicall and virtual) and mode (independent and dependent)
- Review and then confirm that your change has been done
